Each participant of LLM sessions is invited to prepare 3-minute Thesis presentation. Please prepare 3 slides in English (preferably) or French:
Slide 1: Context and Problem
Oral Introduction:
“Let’s start with the context and the problem my research addresses. In the field of [your field], one of the major challenges is [describe the problem]. For example, [give a concrete example]. Current approaches, such as [cite a known method or algorithm], have limitations, particularly [briefly explain these limitations]. My work aims to overcome these challenges by proposing [your approach or solution].”
Slide Content:
- Title: “Context and Problem”
- 1-2 sentences summarizing the context.
- A diagram or image illustrating the problem (e.g., graph, flowchart).
- A key sentence summarizing the problem.
Slide 2: Methodology and Algorithms
Oral Introduction:
“Now, let’s move on to the methodology and algorithms I use. To solve this problem, I have developed and implemented innovative algorithms, such as [name one or two key algorithms]. These algorithms rely on techniques like [machine learning, optimization, etc.] to [briefly explain their role]. For example, [give a concrete example of how they work or are applied].”
Slide Content:
- Title: “Methodology and Algorithms”
- A list or diagram of the algorithms/techniques used.
- A simple visual to illustrate the process (e.g., workflow, architecture).
- A key sentence summarizing the approach.
Slide 3: Results and Future Work
Oral Introduction:
“Finally, this last slide presents preliminary results and future directions. Initial tests show that [describe one or two concrete results]. For example, [illustrate with a number or observation]. However, there are still challenges to address, such as [mention a difficulty or next step]. In the coming months, I plan to [briefly explain your future plans].”
Slide Content:
- Title: “Results and Future Work”
- A graph or table showing preliminary results.
- A list of remaining challenges or next steps.
- A key sentence summarizing the potential impact of your research.
Transitions Between Slides:
- Use smooth transition phrases, such as:
- “Now, let’s move on to…”
- “Next, I’ll show you how this translates into methodology…”
- “Finally, I’ll present the results and future directions…”
Tips:
- Keep each slide visually simple and easy to read.
- Limit text to the essentials (3-5 bullet points per slide).
- Use impactful visuals to grab attention.
